2019 USEF DRESSAGE TESTS REVIEW – THIRD LEVEL TEST 1
THIRD LEVEL TEST 1
The new 2019 -2021 USEF/USDF Intro through Fourth Level Dressage Tests effective December 1, 2018 are available on the USDF website here.
Also, for Third Level Test 1 in the 2019 test cycle, the movement sequences have remained unchanged. However, other than the extended walk, the coefficient movements have changed completely.
For this version, now each 10 meter half circle to half pass are times 2. The halt rein back is times 2, the medium walk is times 2 and each flying change is times 2. The turns on the haunches are no longer coefficient movements.
For the directives, as in previous tests, in any boxes that contain a halt, the words, straightness and immobility have been added, as has attentiveness in the first and last halts. “Tempo” has again been added to the Turns on the Haunches.
This test always flowed well for rider and judge, so it’s nice to see that it was not been changed.
