2019 USEF DRESSAGE TESTS REVIEW – First Level Test 2
FIRST LEVEL TEST 2
The new 2019 -2021 USEF Intro through Fourth Level Dressage Tests effective December 1, 2018 are available on the USDF website here.
The pattern and movements have stayed exactly the same in 2019 First Level Test Two.
But again, more coefficients have been added. In addition to the Free Walk, both canter lengthenings and the stretch circle, now included are each leg yield and the medium walk for a total of seven coefficient movements.
Again in this test, attention has been drawn to “clear” transitions rather than calm in movements 1, 10, 13, 15, 18, 20 and 21.
And, “bend and balance in corner” has been added to the medium walk, the working trot at K to canter at A and the develop canter movements in boxes 13 and 18.
Lastly, some words in the directives have been shortened to save space such as changing “attentive halt” to “attentiveness.”
Below is a copy of the test which you can review to help make more sense of the changes especially in the directives.
